Wide Angle Lens for Canon Rebel Digital XS EOS?
I need to buy a lens for my camera for wider shots. I am taking photos of homes and need to be able to get the room as a whole. And the entire exterior of the homes…What lens would anyone recommend? I have heard a 24mm or a 28 mm. But I see some of them come in a range from like 18-100 etc. What should I buy for these types of shots? Is it better to buy a lens that can do multiple types or just the one lens that does 24mm to 28mm shots? I have a Canon Rebel Dig. XS EOS now with just the standard lens.

If you’re looking for something to work mainly for that purpose (as opposed to a more all-purpose lens) then I would really suggest getting a canon 11-22mm lens. It would be great for what you’re looking for, and with 11mm you can get almost a whole room in the picture. I wouldn’t go higher unless you can test it, first. 24 or 28mm won’t get you nearly wide enough.
