What sort of digital camera should I buy?
I am looking for one around $500 or less. I want one that is good at taking pictures,doesn’t break easliy. Such as waterproof,shockproof,dropproof, etc. Has good zoom,a 2.5 inch screen,is compactable. i would like some suggestions and what to look for when buying on and off line. thanks
Here’s a copy and paste of an answer I gave recently for a similar question:
Olympus does make a nice Stylus 770SW that’s shockproof (5 ft. drop), Waterproof (33 ft.), Freezeproof (14 degrees F.), and Crushproof (220 LBF). It runs around $379 or less, has Image Stabilization and 7.1 megapixels. I think that might survive most of what you’d put it through!
