Worth upgrading digital camera from Canon SD700 to SD850?
Hi, I have owned a Canon SD700 for the past 10 months and am very happy with it. The store I bought it from has a guaranteed half-back repurchase policy within the first year.
To make a long story short, I could trade-in the 700 and get the 850 for about $100 + tax. Do you all think it is worth the upgrade, or should I just stick with the 700?

Thanks to all for your answers so far….I did realize that the 850 camera was only slightly superior to the 700, but thought $100 may be a fair price to pay for the upgrade (and a fresh 1-year warranty for the new camera). Will likely hold off for a few more years…what can I say, I like my gadgets!!
The way this usually works is you use your camera for a few years (two or three) and then buy a new one. In that time period there will have been a substantial technological advancement that makes an upgrade worthwhile

It is obvious that your camera is nearly identical to the one you want to upgrade to … except for a small increase in MP count (not enough to notice) and a time laps feature.
AND your camera cost nearly twice what the SD850 costs
