Samsung has recently released the Samsung Wave 2 and people might be surprised at its cost. It is a lot cheaper than the original Wave, but it also has less features than the original. The reason Samsung did this is to make their phone a lot more affordable to students and teenagers who either cannot afford the more expensive smartphones or they are still on their parents plans. Make no mistake though, the Samsung Wave 2 is still a great smartphone, but it is not on the level or have the hefty price of Apple’s iPhone or the HTC Desire.

This is especially nice if you do not like the inconvenience and mistakes that often happen when you have a smaller QWERTY keyboard or a touch screen. Another nice feature is that even though the Samsung Wave 2 has a fully working QWERTY keyboard it does not add bulkiness to the phone at all.
The Samsung Wave 2 offers a great operating system which you would not expect in a smartphone at this price point. The Bada OS allows you to access all of Samsung’s available applications to make your smartphone as personal as you want it to be. You can easily access apps for navigation, games, scheduling and much more. Granted, there are not as many apps as you would see for an iPhone, but there are still plenty to make your smartphone experience a good one. One of the best things about the Samsung Wave 2 is that it features expandable memory options. You can upgrade your Samsung to hold a whopping 16 gig of memory. This is a lot better than some smartphones that do not allow you to do this. This is also especially important if you like to use your smartphone as an MP3 player.
If the primary reason you are considering purchasing smartphone technology is for the ease of staying connected, the Samsung Wave 2 could be just the phone for you. When coupled with the on-board QWERTY keypad, Bada’s ‘social hub’ makes networking a breeze.
