I just got this and i understand what to do except the mode dial has different options and the only ones i do understand are the portrait, scene, and video options. I tried looking in the guide book, but it didn’t help. The other options are auto, program, dis, and manual…
If you’re just after “point and shoot” shots, just use auto, or night modes for day and night obviously. Portrait just sharpens up the image for closer subjects, and sports or childern mode uses a faster shutter speed for fast moving objects, check out this http://www.photography-information.com/ for more ideas!
