Can I see my pics on PC before I take them using a digital camera?
I have a Samsung Digimax 301 digital camera. I was wondering if there was any way that, connecting my camera to my PC, I can view what I am about to take a photo of on my PC monitor instead of using the small built in LCD on the camera. Are there any programs that allow me to do this?
Maybe. Your camera probably came with several video cables (for connecting it to a VCR or television). One of them should be an s-video cable (check the instructions to find out which one it is), and if your computer has an s-video input jack, then you should be able to plug it directly into your computer. Windows Movie Maker would be able to capture video from your s-video input, but I am not sure how easy it would be to get a live preview.
I have found that many laptops come with the s-video input jack… I am not sure how many desktop computers have one installed.
