What is red eye sensor in digital camera? what is its use?
Red Eye is caused by the flash light from the camera undergoing multiple reflections inside the subjects eye and returning back to the film or sensor through the lens.
The ways to do this are the opposite of what predisposes to red eye-
Dilated pupil – especially after alcohol or in pitch dark surroundings ! Some cameras use multiple flashes before the main photo so as to constrict the pupil.
Closely situated flash and lens – They tend to make the chances of red eye more common.
Camera makers try to place the flash as far as they can from the lens in a given camera body. It’s actually better to use off camera flash.
The best way to avoid red-eye is to learn what causes it and then take photographs in a manner so as to avoid it. Cameras have various methods to reduce it but nothing is as effective as eliminating it as good photography techniques (including photo editing while post processing)
