Where do folders and their data go when you delete them?
I accidentally deleted the wrong folder off my digital camera memory card. I went to recycle bin, but the folder is not in there. In fact, there are no folders in recycle bin. Have I lost those images for good?
The folder and data are still there until it gets overwritten with new data. The index that points to where the data is has been removed. Try recuva, it’s a free utility to find deleted items on your drives. The link for it is here http://www.piriform.com/recuva . It’s fairly self-explanatory on how to use it, just make sure to have your memory card hooked up to the pc and point recuva to it. Whatever you do, DON’T use the memory card until you recover your data, because whatever you put on it, could overwrite your files/data.
