i’m getting a new camera =) but have a few questions.?
okay, so i’ve had those tiny portable ones since forever ago.
and now i want a bulkier, more professional one with more features and better image quality.

okay, so i’ve narrowed my search down to 3 cameras:
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT
Nikon D40
Olympus SP-560 UZ
two of them are SLR and the olympus isn’t.
is it really that important? because the SLR as 18x zoom! thats AMAZING!

The SLR-like Olympus has a long zoom for sure, but its sensor is quite small with compared to the two DSLR’s (we are not talking MP here but actual size)
Here is a link that should help you decide, however the best plan would be to actually hold the D40 or D40x and Canon XT or XTi in your hands and actually get a sense of how well you can operate them, both because of the control layout and the ease of using their menus

Both the Nikon and Canon provide equally fine quality images, so really you will have to see which YOU prefer…our opinions are based upon our prejudice and experience, so cannot be depended upon to make a decision YOU will be happy with for the next few years.
