Suggestions for a digital camera?
I have a Canon Powershot A95 (5 megapixels) and want something better (not happy w/ the pics I get from it) but not more than $800 if possible, any suggestions?
Sam and Jack – I started out with an Olympus 1.3 megapixel and graduated up to an Olymput 4.4 megapixel. Ended up with my current digital, a Canon SLR – the rebel 350XT. If the prices had been right, I’d have gone with the Canon from the beginning (whatever the model was at the time I was looking). NO WAY should you settle for anything less than an SLR. I feel, now, like I wasted decent money on the earlier point-and-shoots.
I looked at both Nikon and Canon – the Nikon was too big for my hand so that made an easy choice. One fellow at work got an Olympus SLR. You should check them out in person to see how they feel when you carry them. Price and feel are the two biggest issues here…. and THEN get a camera that handles as many pixels as possible.
