Getting photos from my digital camera to my computer?
I’ve got photos on my camera but somehow they didn’t go onto the memory card which was in the camera at the time. Anyway, I cant find the chord to connect the camera to the computer, so is there a different way to get the photos onto the computer? Or is connecting the camera to the computer with the wire the only way?
Before you get too far into this, tell your camera to save your shots to the external memory card. Doing that will allow you to remove the memory card and place it in a card reader. This is the prefered way of placing your image files on your computer.
If you still cannot find your USB cord, take your camera into a store like Radio Shack and have them find the correct USB cord. There are as many as four different types being used by the various camera companies. This will save your in-camera shots, but you should still use a card reader for copying your image files from a memory card.
