Which SLR is right for me?
I am going to be starting photography, NO i am not an amature. I know all about digital photography and all that. I am going to be doing action photography AND studio work ( band promos ). I was looking at a Nikon d2x or a Canon 1D mark 2. But i need some more advice. Which camera do you recommend for me??
If you go with Nikon you will have almost every lens Nikon ever made (and any of them made to fit a Nikon) for the last 50 years at your beck and call. If the lens has been AI’ed, even better because now the lens will at least meter couple…
Of course, no older manual lens will auto focus, you have to supply the twist power on the focus ring and the manual twist to the f – stop ring, but the lenses still work and meter couple.
If Canon, you only have the Canon EOS mount from mid 90′s and on..
So, based on the ginormous base of existing lenses still out there, my choice would be, and has been – Nikon..!
