Is the Canon EOS 7D or EOS 5D Mark II worth it for video?
I am thinking about selling my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi and Canon XL1s and just buying one of the above Cameras for both video and photos.
Obviously, the camera will be way better but it’s the video I’m not sure of. I’m assuming it would be considered an upgrade going from standard definition on the XL1s to 1080p HD.
Are these cameras good for video, and how is the audio on them?
Which one would you recommend?
The only difference I know is the 5D has a full sensor and more mega pixels. I do have a full sensor fish eye lens that I have yet to take full advantage of but I’m not sure if it really matters much.
I’d go for the 5D Mark II any day of the week.. the body is more rugged and weather sealed.. the full frame sensor makes a huge difference to me, the quality of the images is superb..
Go to http://dpreview.com and comare the camers side by side, and feature by feature.. read the reviews and study the sample images..
then go to the store and handle both cameras… buy the one which feels best in your hands.
