Kodak PlaySport Zx3, Best Inside Class With The Best Price
Bought a Kodak PlaySport Zx3 recently and think it’s great.
1. Compared to the latest Flip MinoHD the Kodak’s viewing angle could be very good. For some reason I always felt of the fact that Flip videos were either too close or past the boundary away from my kid.
2. Color is more natural assigned the flip.
3. Low light performance is more preferable than Flip.
4. I prefer hard buttons to touch interface.
5. Easier to charge along with the cable.
6. At 60fps and 720p is it doesn’t ideal camcorder to shoot small videos of my kid without any subsequent jumpiness.
My main camera for after some duration has been a Canon Powershot 570IS, a great camera which takes nice pictures, however only does 640X480 videos. I needed a HD camcorder for an affordable price. After some research I decided upon the Kodak Zx3.
I think your first move buyers do when they get this camera is always to drop it into a sink rich in water to see if it’s actually waterproof, I can testify it holds up well in my sink. It also works well for me in a number of other ways.
The camera is fun to use, takes pretty nice pics and videos in decent light conditions, and is user-friendly. The battery lasts way longer than my Canon and I had lots of space with my 8GB Sd card. I also bought an extra battery (which I haven’t had to use yet), a remote control (handy), as well as a $5 charger that plugs into all the wall or my car lighter.
In the $98 I paid for this (undamaged refurbished) surveillance camera, there is not a better deal on the globe. My Canon can take better however pictures, but is less handy to tote and also the Kodak takes pretty decent stills. Around low light, my Canon does a better job, but if I’m shooting in fantastic light, the Kodak is the camera I take with you.
The video works good for everyone. If I am shooting a static real chance I often use 1080p. If the shot is motion in the slightest, I use 720p in 60fps. If I must save storage space I use 720p on 30fps. Most of the time I land up using 720p in 60fpa. Works good to what I need it for.
It rain plenty here in Washington state. I have always to worry about my cell phone and cameras getting wet during the outdoors, and it makes it cumbersome to photograph. For the Kodak PlaySport Zx3 there is absolutely no problem, being waterproof. I haven’t implemented it submerged, other than in your sink yet, but will when spring/summer comes along. In the meantime it’s great just for hikes or any wet and humid place I ought to shoot.
