If you do it correctly no. It will no longer function like it did before though. There are many companies on line that will remove the filter and change your camera over to shoot infrared. Cost is about $300. Just Google it.
Sigma makes a camera that you can easily remove the filter and replace it as you wish. This is not a bad option if you don’t want to permanently alter your camera.
