2GB? 4GB? 8GB? Memory Cards for Cameras…?
I really don’t know anything about GB’s…or electronics alone, for that matter, lol…I’m going on a trip and want to get a Memory Card for my Digital Camera…It’s only holds 17 pictures now…but, how many pictures can each GB hold?

What brand would you recommend? I have a Kodak EasyShare CX7300. 3.2 Mega Pixels. I know it’s an older camera, but it works just fine for me. And it’s easy to use.
I was reading reviews on Memory Cards at WalMart, and some of them have really great reviews, but they also say that some of them aren’t compatible with their computer, that their computer didn’t recognize it. Something about SD and SDHC…What’s the difference? I have Windows XP if that helps at all.

Youre getting way ahead of yourself. First you need to know what your camera will accept. The link below to Kodak lists all your camera specs.
It takes SD or MMC. Forget MMC. Theyre too small and obsolete. You can choose a 1G or 2G SD card. You cant go 4G or higher. Those are SDHC and your camera wont take them.
Your user manual at the second link below only lists SD cards up to 128MB. Higher numbers up to 2G may still work. It could be that at the time of printing 128MB was the largest available. My older Kodak manual lists cards up to 512MB SD but I have no trouble with 1G SD cards.
The machines at WalMart may also not be compatible with SDHC but I know of no machines in stores which will not accept SD cards. If thats the case you have to find another store to print your photos because your camera needs SD.
Without going into details memory cards can be used as storage devices. The next time someone writes that they cant and the manufacturers tell you this I would like them to include a link to the manufacturers page which says this. I personally have never seen this advice from a manufacturer or anyone specializing in computers. I would like to know if theres some information available which Im unaware of.
