DXG 5.0 572V digital video camera LCD screen won’t work?
My camcorder works fine, but the LCD screen won’t turn on. When I turn on my camera, I can’t see anything; the screen is black, but I still here the dinging sound when it turns on. That’s usually when the screen lights up and shows the DXG logo, then shows what’s in front of the lens. Can anybody tell me what’s going on, or tell me how to fix this?
Make sure the lens cap is removed.
Check to see if you have the Disp/Set button set to ‘on’ (on rear of camera).
Or try a camera re-set.
Save any video off the camera and/or memory card to your computer.
Remove memory card.
With the camera on, remove the batteries.
Put batteries back in.
See if the camera starts back up like it should.
If not:
Save any video off the camera and/or memory card to your computer.
Remove memory card.
Turn camera off
(look under camera for a tiny hole)
Use the end of a paper clip and press it inside the hole while at the same time, turn camera on and hold it until the camera splash screen (start screen) comes on. You may see a re-set message or something, which is fine.
