Just bought a 2ndhand digital camera and it came with no driver disc! Can u just download a basic driver anyw?
It’s a JVC digi cam, don’t know the model no (the main site is stupid and unexplainable), checked Google and Yahoo and nothing! I’m just wondering if Microsoft has a standard digital camera plug’n'play USB driver. If anyone could help that would be great! Thanks!!
Windows XP doesn’t support a lot of digital camera drivers within the OS – I found that the hard way. A lot of times you’ll get the message like “generic camera – contact the manufacturer for further information”
I suggest looking for the JVC camera WWW site, and downloading the driver. Myself, I prefer to keep camera drivers off my laptop, and use a “card reader” to download the pictures, or email them directly, or….
