digital camera photo printing?
long story short. we went to Disney world and one of the digital cameras we had was older with smaller memory card. those sets of photos are all taken at 640×480. which isn’t quite big enough for clear non-pixelated standard 4×6 pictures. home printing and professional come out the same so please don’t mention that. we also have use of photo shop if needed. but its not like you can just add pixels that makes the picture worse. my question is what i can i do to these pics to make them print out clear, either at home or at the store?
Your only choice IS resampeling… 640×480 can go .. Mmmmm 900×675 and keep ‘some’ of it’s integrity..
It takes 200 pixels per inch of photo you wanna make in order to look OK.. So a 900×675 will still be a 4.5×3.5 image, and kinda pixely…
There is just not enuf pixels there to do much, sorry…..
As a last try, I would look for a RIP printer program – http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/ – and what they do is turn the image into a raster image and re-size it for printing. These people may be able to help enuf to make 4×6 images….. Then ya scan them to make even larger images……
