Camera review SUPER IMPORTANT?
I am going to a country in centeral america, nad i need a digital camera for not alot of money, i found one for 40 dollars and i need reviews and info on it, anything you have pictures reviews pros, cons, anything. the camera is:

Something that may get overlooked when traveling abroad is that cheaper can be safer. I don’t know what sort of area you’ll be in, but I know photographers who re-brand or de-brand their cameras to avoid attracting attention of those who do not have their best interest in mind. This is especially important when traveling in an unfamiliar area. It also allows you to keep a relatively low profile — you’ll just be another dime-a-dozen tourist. Plus, if you damage the camera, who cares? It’s so cheap it’s virtually disposable.
But, from a technical standpoint, I would not expect much from that camera. I’m usually one of those sorta fellows on YA! who think that people place a bit too much emphasis on having the best equipment, and even I think that Vivitar digicams just aren’t all that great. You can find some good used Vivitar glass from a few decades ago, but nowadays I’d steer clear of the brand if you can afford better. If it’s all you can afford, buy it and make photos — you CAN make good photos in good light with good skill. But if you can afford even $50 more, buy a Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fuji, Olympus, Pentax, etc…
