Are there any digital cameras with wide angle that uses AA batteries?
I hardly come across these features in one camera! 5x optical would be nice also. I already know about Fujifilm AX200 and AX250, but are there others that are under $150? It seems like no one makes digital cameras that run on AA batteries anymore & I really prefer that.
Btw, anyone have any experience with Samsung SL605 & how is it? It has wide angle but runs on proprietary battery.

The Canon Powershot SX130 IS uses AA batteries and has a wide zoom with 28mm equivalent wide-angle to long telephoto zoom. Very few point-and-shoot cameras use AA batteries, but I think you are smart to select such a versatile power source.
For AA rechargeable batteries, I recommend the Sanyo Eneloop batteries if you need to supplement your Canon-supplied batteries. These batteries come fully charged, and hold a charge for a year or more, much longer than most AA rechargeables.
