Have a look at this forum. Most answers lean towards the XS and another big plus is the two you list above, the XS has the image stabiliser lens which is a bonus in lower light levels or hand-held with max zoom. I have both the 28-300L and 100-400L IS lenses and the results are superb. Good luck in whatever you choose.
