Diving underwater digital camera flash vs. flashlight??
Im going diving over christmas break and i was thinking of getting the sealife reefmaster mini since it doesnt need underwater housing. I know my pictures will be blue if i dont get a bigger light but the pro set with the big flash is 450$ compared to the price of 250$ for just the camera. If i got an underwater flashlight for like 30 bucks would it have the same effect on my pictures and make them more colorful and not so blue?
Get the strobe. A flashlight is no way near good enough for decent photography. The colour spectra is way off.
As for blue. Your pics will be blue, green, or tea coloured in background no matter what. It all depends on the water you’re in. No flash or flashlight will compensate for it unless you’re doing macros.
