Why does Windows Vista Create Empty Folders When I Copy Photos From My Digital Camera?
What are the empty files for and am I safe in deleting them?
The folders have a similar name to the JPEG picture files.
If, when you are copying photos over, you open the DCIM folder from the camera and then the subfolder 100OLY for example if it were an Olympus camera, and then copy merely the pics not the folder there is no reason why you should get any empty folders, but you should create a new folder as a subfolder in Pictures with the date, or subject matter of the new photos and paste them into that. So, I am not quite sure why you are getting empty folders.
