I dropped my digital camera in the water, can it be fixed?
Me and my dad were on a canoeing trip in minnesota. And my dad dropped my mom’s camera in the water. i don’t think it was on at the time. It took a couple seconds to get it out. we didn’t do anything my dad just put it back in the pack. It won’t work right now. Am i screwed or do i just need to replace something? If i’m screwed is there anyway to get a picture on a computer without a digital camera.
Well the important thing to know is never NEVER! turn a camera on when it is wet.
See any electronics can survive water. If a camera was dropped in water while it was turned off then it will be okay just drop it in purified water so you can wash off the minerals then leave it sitting there for a week or so and turn it on and it will be okay. Try that
FYI- Water does not damage electronics only the minerals in the water, if you dipped a laptop in purified water while it was on then it would work just fine.
That is why emergency sprinklers in buildings don’t damage electronics because of purified water
