I want to buy a new digital camera – can anyone suggest a good camera?
I don’t want an entry level camera, however I do want easy to use features and quality video mode. I want quick shutter response and perhaps facial recognition (not essential though). I have tried getting sales help but get so many different answers. Some sales recommend the Sony Cyber-shot, some suggest Nikon Coolpix – I am yet to find a camera with lots of good reviews online!
My price range is around $300 – $400
Just bought canon ixus 90 and its great. i did loads of research and it was £175 including a case and 4g card. Also a Which? best buy. fantastic shutter response and face detection. also image stabilisation. good video capture also.
Better than the exilium i previously had but they are not bad (shutter speed lets them down).
In my opinion both of the brands you mention are good but individual models vary.
