card not initialized??
i JUST got a 1gig memory card 2 months ago for my fujifilm finepix A500 digital camera… it worked fine and i had just uploaded some pictures (USB connect, then open the pix in removable disk folder, and dragged the pix to a folder). after it had transferred, i turned off the camera and unplugged the USB. ive done this for years… and theres never been this problem. anyway, i tried to take a picture 5 minutes later and it said “card not initialized”!! i tried to format it many many times, and cleaned the card… what is wrong!?!
Hmmm, faulty card? See if you can get an exchange. I fried a few cards in the past, some just last longer than others.
If you cant format it in your camera, can you format it in Windows? It should just show up as another drive letter under My Computer.
Did you accidently lock the card?
