Can you recommend a macro lens for the Canon Digital SLR Camera EOS 1000D?
I need it urgently really. I want a macro lens so I can take photographs close-up of bugs and flowers for my coursework. I have no idea what spec I need, etc. I know basically nothing about this. Thanks so much to any answerers.
The perfect partner for your camera is the EFs 60mm f2.8 macro lens.
Sharp and relatively quick to focus (macros are usually very slow) and it will also double as a good protrait lens.
If you want to keep your options for full frame open look either at the older Canon EF 50mm f2.5 or the Sigma 70mm f2.8 Macro.
All excellent. If you are sticking with cropped sensor cameras for the forseeable future the Canon EFs 60mm is probably the one to go for:
