Which camera would be best to take to a Air show in a Canon 300D Digital SLR 6.3 MP or a Canon SX200 Compact?
That will depend on what lens or lenses you have to use with the Digital Rebel. If you have only the 18-55 kit, take the point and shoot. If you have a telephoto for the Rebel, take that.
The Rebel will be much, much better at an airshow. One of the tricks to air show shooting is manual control of the camera, which makes it very, very fast to use. You set the camera for conditions using manual aperture and shutter speed settings, manually focus at infinity (for the flying stuff) and you have only to frame the shot and press the shutter button. Instant photo. No delay, no lag, no (well, very few) missed shots.
