Upgrading camera to Digital SLR HELP?
Hii~ I need your help please…
I want to upgrade my Olympus camera to a Digital SLR camera, but I seriously do not know what type of brand and type of SLR camera would be great for me. This is just for taking photo’s of friends, landscape etc — i am not a photography student too btw XD
This would be my VERY FIRST SLR camera…so i need a person whom already has one to help me choose one.
NO BIAS ANSWERS would be mostly appreciated ^_^

Any starter DSLR can do that.

This limits your options somewhat. Budget end of the market it pretty much narrows it down to a Canon 550D or a Nikon d3100.

DSLR cameras are often sold in kit form including one or more lenses. You will need at least one lens to get started. I always advice beginners to start with one lens so that they can discover what they really want/need from a second lens.

Built in flash is enough for basic shooting.

Standard on all DSLR

You see more and more DSLR cameras with this feature. IMO it’s rather pointless.

600 shots enough for you?

Not something you need to worry about at first. Basically the camera will allow you to take multiple shots each with a different whitebalance setting so that you can select the best shot. WB affects how the color of light is represented.
