what is a good digital camera to capture art that is too large for scanners?
I do pencil drawings on 11″x17″ art board and I am having a hard time figuring out how I’m going to get them onto my computer, so your help would be very much appreciated.
I have used a 5meg point and shoot and now use a 10 meg dslr with a macro lens.The resolution you use depends on the purpose which you intend.
For art programmes and digital art I use a fairly small file size as even on a high powered computer digital painting needs a lot of processing power.For sending over the internet small file sizes are also needed.
Many zoom lenses work close up at the wide angle end, this creates a bit of distortion and it is better to shoot at the telephoto end of the zoom range.
