Can anyone translate this into what I am getting and what does GC stand for?

My recommendation…save your money. It is a 4 mega pixel (most cameras are now 5mp or more, but you will still get good prints 5×7 maybe 8×10.) It does not have any zoom on it. It says it has digital zoom, but that is the fake zoom (it takes the picture and then crops what you are wanting to ‘zoom’ to out-make you loose quality.) You want to look for optical zoom if you are interested in optical zoom at all (the lens actually moves to the object-no picture quality is lost.). It is not the ‘new technology’ and is kinda slow on the shutter release, the flash is small (but comparable to others of the same size.) The camera dock allows you to charge the battery while on the dock. You can also set the camera on the dock for instant file exchange.
I think you could get more for your money.
