What is a good digital camera for around $500?
I don’t care if it’s compact or not, but I want something with at least 8 megapixels and at least 10X Zoom. I’m a beginner/intermediate photographer, but I would like the ability to use auto or manual modes. Any ideas? Thanks.
for that kind of money, don’t be too quick to jump on the SLR bandwagon…you may or may not like them! The Canon G-10 is a fantastic camera, point and shoot, 14 mega pixel with excellent lens, equivalent of 28mm – 140 mm zoom, great camera to have.
For SLRs, the Nikon D40 falls within the price range with an 18-55mm lens..great camera.
