I want to know is 4x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom good zoom?
I am buying a new digital camera as mine recently broke but I wanted as similar as I could get to my old one. I go to a lot of concerts and loved the 5x zoom on my sanyo camera and the quality of the zoomed picture, so I am thinking of going with a sanyo again.
I want to buy the VPC-X1420AUBK model which is 14mpx and 4x optical and digital zoom.
Will the zoom difference be much different to the previous (10mpx) 5x zoom I had?
The one I want to buy says it is “4x optical zoom wide angle and 4x digital zoom lens”
the way you wrote this is different in the header from the quesiton…
above you wrote both are 4x and in the body you wrote 4x and then both terms, which is different. also, the first cam you had probably was a mixedx zoom as well and no one can tell you if it was any good. some cams have great lenses and some do not. as well as software and firmware. i would never buy a sanyo persoanlly, but if you liked it, chances are, if it is actually 4x optical and 4x digital, it will be better in terms of the zoom. and the available quality if set properly wl also be better.
then yes, that specifications you list are better than the specifications listed for your earlier cam.
