how to lower the shutter speed on a sony cyber shot DCS-T70 digital camera?
I have no idea how to do this, or if this is even possible. Help please?
You are asking questions were the answer is in buying and using a DSLR, not a point and shoot camera where all that is decided by the camera. While some P&S cameras allow the user to make some kind of choice, as in aperture or shutter speed priority, yours seems to run in either “auto” or “program auto”.

If you are truly interested in taking control of your cameras exposure, then when you are ready to buy your next digital camera, look for a good entry level DSLR. You need to budget for something in the $600 to $900 range.
