Best compact digital camera for photographing the Northern Lights?
I’m going to Iceland in early February and am hoping to see the Northern Lights. I need to buy a new camera for the trip anyway, but only have a budget of £150 absolute max (ruling out DSLRs) so I was wondering which compact digital camera i’d have the best chance with.
There isn’t one because as I remember the lights they’re not bright enough for a camera to catch them without “time exposure”.
Look into a bridge camera, the Fuji s1800 comes to mind. This camera will give you time exposure without the high cost of a dslr camera. Good Luck
