The more mega pixels you have the more space is taken up on your camera, so you will want to purchase a larger memory card anyway.
Perhaps all you want is a small digital camera that is small enough to fit into your pocket or person in case you want to capture those special photos of the kids when they do something really funny or embarrassing.
