Which digital camera?
I know, I seem to keep coming back here don’t I. Anyway, I’ve been looking for a new digital camera and I have narrowed it down to essentially two choices, the Casio Exilim EX-Z120 or the Canon A620, both have a comparable feature set (the only difference being the 4X Optical zoom on the Canon and its swivel display). Both seem to have similar image quality. So, I’m a little confused, it’s definitely between these two cameras, I’m attracted to the compactness of the Casio but the swivel display on the Canon is nice too. Any advice to help me will be appreciated. The Casio is also cheaper by about $90 but is all metal and the Canon is a plastic metal hybrid.
All things being equal I would opt for the one with the greater OPTICAL zoom. The digital zoom does nothing good for a photo. There are some good pics that can only be gotten by using the zoom feature…like the Statue of Liberty from a long distance because you cant get any closer for some reason.
