Take Better Photos With A Digital SLR Camera
Digital SLR cameras have brought high quality photography gear to the masses. Of course a high quality camera is only part of what it takes to take beautiful photographs. You also need to know exactly how to make best use of your DSLR camera and that can be a lot more confusing with a SLR than with a simple point and click style camera.
I believe far more important than understanding all the technicalities of how to use your camera is having an artistic eye. A sense of what will make a good photograph. A good example of this kind of “good eye” can be seen when looking closely at these Artistic Photos by one of my favorite artistic photographers.
As far as which camera to buy I can recommend a Canon Rebel XTi DSLR. IIt is a great SLR camera that has worked well for me without any issues for approximately three years now. It is also rather inexpensive by the pricing standards of pro quality cameras. Of course you should know that those standards are rather high, it is about $675 without a lens!
When you learn more about high quality cameras you will come to understand that the lens on the camera is extremely important. If your experience comes mostly from point and click cameras then you are most likely used to thinking that the megapixel count is the most important thing but that is not the case at all.
With SLRs, the lens is what makes the biggest difference in the quality of your photos. Really the subject of lenses is too complicated for me to cover in this article, I simply want to make you aware of how important they are and that if you want to get serious about taking exceptional pictures you will need to look into the subject deeply.
Like with any other skill, you will only become a better photographer with plenty of studied practice. You will need to read all about photography and then you will need to take tons of photos experiencing for yourself all of what you have learned.
