what camera should i buy for a begginer photographer?
im wanting to buy a camera because i am taking up photography as a hobby , i want a camera that is under or just over £300 , i really like the CANON EOS-1000D but i don’t know if that’s too much for a beginner like me .
oh and can anyone tell me whats the difference between an SLR camera and one of those slim digital cameras ?
An SLR style camera is the type that you can changes lenses. If you are serious at all about photography you should get that kind.
The little slim ones are nice too, but you are stuck with whatever lens or telephoto settings come with it. And some of them cannot focus on up-close things, like if you want to take a close photo of a flower, you’d still have to be like 2 feet away for it to be sharp.
I’d go for the Canon, it’s NOT too much camera for a beginner. Besides, you can shoot on ‘auto mode’ until you get used to it and then start playing with all the manual buttons!
