Great ideas for PORTRAIT shots?
I’m an aspiring photographer, and I’m doing this 365 day project. My “thing” is portraits. Whether they be self-portraits or non-self portraits. What I’m wondering is any great ideas?
Stuff that could help:
I like near Lake Eerie
I canNOT drive
I have Photoshop Elements 4.0
My camera is a ‘Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS’
I have woods behind my house.
And that’s all I can think of 
So, in summation. Ideas that I could use for portraits? If you categorize them “Idea for Self-Portraits” and “Ideas for Portraits” that’d be SO wonderful!!

well definitely do some shots by the lake. that would be cool, take advantage of that. also, what ive learned looks really great is when the photographer gets below the subject and the subject looks down towards the photographer so you can see blue sky and clouds behind them. looks amazing. just get some cool backgrounds that are distinctive enough that they can be out of focus just a little, while the subject is completely in focus. example of distinctive enough: a lake with a large tree on the other side. you can also take some closeups of someone laying in leaves or standing in front of leaves, and mainly get their face but far enough away that you can tell there are leaves behind them. you may need to wait until spring for that one. anyway, thats about all i have. hope i helped!!
