Why doesn’t my mac find my camera when I plug it in?
I am temporarily using an old digital camera – Canon Powershot A85, and when I plug it in to my Windows Vista laptop, it finds the hardware (and installs the appropriate driver) so I can download the photos to the computer. But when I plug it into my iMac, nothing happens – it doesn’t seem to detect it at all. What do I do?
It could be that the software from the camera is old and cannot be read on a mac. You can try opening iphoto with your camera still attached, or if you have one, a memory card reader.
