Using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to Create a Slideshow of Your Digital Photos
Digital photography allows pictures to be taken, printed, stored, manipulated, displayed, and transmitted digitally, without the use of chemical processing or the cost of film. You can take pictures with your digital camera or even your cell phone and wirelessly upload them to your networking or business site. It has never been easier to share the visual details of your life with your friends, family and business associates. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom can help you view, edit, and manage your digital photos and can even help you create a slideshow to share with people.
Creating a slideshow is super quick and easy with the SimpleViewer slideshow in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. First, save the photographs you would like to use into one Collection. Select the images you want and then click the + symbol on the left and select “Create Collection.” Chose a name for your collection, check the “Include Selected Photos” box and select “OK.” Drag and drop additional photos into the collection as desired. A “Collection” is easier than a “Smart Collection” for creating slideshows because a “Collection” allows you to reorder your pictures later if desired. Next, click on the “Web” module and from the “Engine” category, select “Airtight SimpleViewer.” At the bottom of the screen, select “All Filmstrip Photos.” Also the in “Web” module, select “Upload Settings” to adjust the FTP server settings for your website. Now click “Preview in Browser” at the bottom of the screen to preview your slideshow. And then click the “Upload” button in the bottom right hand corner to upload your slideshow to your website.
Lightroom offers tons more options for your slideshow like the addition of captions, background color, border color, text color, and different size options for your photos and borders. Once you’ve got the basics down, explore and have fun creating slideshows to share with your friends, family and colleagues.
