My computer and digital camera are not speaking!?
I have a Canon Powershot A620, and I love my camera. Recently my computer and camera stopped speaking to each other. My photos are trapped on my camera. I’ve tried different cords and new batteries. The computer knows my camera is connected, but I am unable to download my pics. What do I do?
They must have had an argument! lol
Seriously though, go out and buy a card reader (SD or multi). Take your memory card out, insert it in the reader, and plug both into your computer’s USB port. It will show up as a removable drive (look in My Computer or Computer). Then just copy your files to your hard drive. Voila!
When your files are safely copied to your computer (always think about backing up important files), select the ‘Safely Remove Hardware’ option to unplug the memory card/reader from your USB port…put the memory card back in your camera and Format the card to delete all the files from it.
