Very good to the price
I bought this camera mostly to the zoom and the grade of the lens you find for only around 250 bucks. This camera will not have a RAW mode so this can be a point and shoot but it really has many different features you could possibly find in professional SLR camcorders that cost hundreds much more. If you know what exactly you’re doing, you can do a great deal of manual shooting. I’m not planning to give it a only two, 3, 4 out 5 because I don’t’ including the cheap plastic feel as well as that it’s too light or we don’t like the coloring, like some of the other reviewers mentioned..How cares for you???I give it 5 stars because the grade of the pictures is great for what this camera is designed for, it does attractively.
Really Good Camera for your Money
I’ve been using my Finepix S1800 to get almost two weeks right now, and I have to state that I’m truly amazed. Although Amazon’s not planning to like this, I didn’t buy it there. I bought mine coming from a competitor at a reduced price…Mine was reconditioned simply by Fuji, and came without the need of neckstrap, lens cap, or perhaps batteries. If you get it new, you obtain those items. Anyway, i obtained this camera because I couldn’t afford a Nikon D5000. i might been using my film cameras, as well for a digital Olympus C-700, and felt it absolutely was time to get something superior to the old Olympus. This Finepix suit you perfectly. It functions flawlessly, the lens seems great, and the software menus within the camera are a breeze to understand. The only gripe i have with the camera is always that it doesn’t do RAW format..I can live without it. The images I’ve shot are sharp in any respect focal lengths, and that low light capabilities, in particular the built-in Infrared AF, are very good, too. Oh, yeah, one of the most exciting feature of this camera is the Dual Image Stabilization. it has allowed me to receive tack sharp shots at shutter speeds that could be impossible to get having a 35mm SLR. I’ve shot handheld shots at above 200mm focal length at 1″ and in many cases slower! It’s just amazing to be able to rack the zoom all the way out to the same in principle of 504mm, and email at 1/60″, even 1/30″, and know you can aquire the shot. Just amazing. IT WORKS. It’s amazing in macro mode, as well. Although undoubtedly there are generally better digital superzoom connection cameras out there that you can buy, I seriously doubt if any come close to the S1800 in terms involving value. The camera is usually inexpensive, well-made, handles well, and is fun to make use of. It’s a nice appliance. Oh, one caveat – it’s really fussy about the memory cards it can take – SanDisk and Fuji SDHC handmade cards are recommended. The cards MUST BE CLASS 6 TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CAMERA! Do not make an effort to use a regular SD greeting card, or anything less than the usual Class 6 card. I picked up an 8GB Fujifilms SDHC card for approximately $30 that gives my home over 1, 700 shots in the S1800′s largest, best image quality – i will live with that.
